TournEvent for Charities kicks off at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27 in Everi’s booth #1116 at the 2016 Global Gaming Expo® (“G2E”) at the Sands Expo Center. “For the past few years, TournEvent for Charities has been a G2E highlight for Everi and we encourage G2E attendees to stop by our booth to cheer on the celebrities as they compete in this one-of-a-kind slot tournament for charity,” said Linda Trinh, Everi Vice President of Marketing & Promotions. “This event serves as a unique way for celebrities to have fun, get their competitive juices flowing and win money for their favorite charities. Everi is extremely pleased to support so many worthy charitable organizations through TournEvent of Charities and we look forward to finding out which celebrity will help their charity of choice walk away with the $10,000 top prize.”
TournEvent for Charities serves as precursor to the TournEvent of Champions® championship tournament that takes place at 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, September 28 at XS Nightclub in the Wynn/Encore resort. This year, 143 slot players representing 89 casinos from across the U.S., Canada, and Peru will face off and compete for slot tournament supremacy and the $1 million* grand prize. TournEvent of Champions will also be streamed live over the internet at https://www.twitch.tv/everigames, providing slot tournament fans at home with a front row seat to all the action.
As an added bonus, Everi will celebrate the release of two of its newest licensed brand games, Penn & Teller™ and for Warner Bros.’ timeless romantic film, Casablanca™, with ribbon-cutting ceremonies in booth #1116 on September 27 and 28, respectively, during G2E.
At 12 noon on Tuesday, September 27, Las Vegas legends Penn & Teller will be on hand to cut the ribbon for their very first slot machine and sign autographs for fans. Stephen Bogart, son of film legends Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, will be on hand to cut the ribbon for Everi’s new Casablanca slot machine at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28. Bogart will also autograph DVD copies of the 1942 film classic that ranks second on the American Film Institute’s 100 Greatest American Movies of All Time list. G2E attendees are invited to stop by Everi’s booth #1116 to watch both ribbon-cutting ceremonies and meet the celebrities.
